Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) makes up more than 30% of newly diagnosed cases of NHL. It can arise in lymph nodes or outside of the lymphatic system in the gastrointestinal tract, testes, thyroid, skin, breast, bone, or brain.
Fast-growing lymphomas such as DLBCL usually require immediate treatment. For DLBCL, RITUXAN may be given as initial treatment along with CHOP chemotherapy. CHOP stands for the combination of cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone.
RITUXAN is available by prescription only.
