Your doctor's office will schedule appointments for the first course of treatment (2 infusions given 2 weeks apart). Your infusion may be given at your doctor's office, an infusion center, or a hospital.
Your first infusion usually takes 4 to 6 hours, so you should plan accordingly. There are no special rules for what you can eat or drink before, during, or after an infusion. Some people like to eat before or bring a snack along. Just be sure to check with the facility first to see if bringing food is allowed. Due to the possibility of infusion-related reactions, the first infusion may take most of the day, but later infusions may take less time.
